Charles Ellis was the founder of Greenwich Associates, the international strategy consulting firm. He was the Chairman of the CFA Institute, where he was one of 11 people honored for lifetime contributions to the investment profession. His academic activities include appointments at Harvard Business School and the Yale School of Management to teach the advanced course on investment management, and 20 years on the faculty of the Investment Workshop at Princeton. Charley previously served as a trustee of Yale University, where he chaired the investment committee, as an Overseer of the Stern School of Business at NYU, as a Board Member of the Associates of HBS, and as a director of the Vanguard group. He is the author of 16 books, including Winning the Loser’s Game and with Burton Malkiel, The Elements of Investing. Charley is a graduate of Yale College and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his PhD from NYU.
